Last updated: Friday 21st June
Written by Thom Yorke and produced by Nigel Godrich, the album features 9 tracks, with an extra track exclusively on vinyl.
“ANIMA” will be available on CD, black double vinyl, limited edition orange double vinyl, and a deluxe 180g heavyweight orange double vinyl which includes a 40-page book of lyrics, and drawings done in pencil by Stanley Donwood and Dr Tchock.
A ‘one-reeler’ also entitled ANIMA will be available to watch exclusively via Netflix from 8am BST on June 27. The one-reeler, made by Paul Thomas Anderson, is set to three tracks from Thom’s new album.
The 4th studio album, following 2016’s “A Seat At The Table” and explores Solange Knowles’ hometown of Houston, Texas. The album was more focused on what Solange had to “feel”, compared to “A Seat at the Table”‘s focus on what she had to “say”.
The album also features contributions from several high-profile musicians, including Sampha, Playboi Carti, Gucci Mane, Panda Bear, Tyler, the Creator, Metro Boomin, The-Dream, Abra, Dev Hynes, Steve Lacy, Earl Sweatshirt and Scarface.
The 3rd album from Kindness including collaborations with Robyn, Jazmine Sullivan, Seinabo Sey and Cosima among others. In the 5 years since the last Kindness album (2014’s “Otherness”), they co-produced five tracks on Solange’s album “A Seat At The Table”, and contributed production, writing, and vocals to Blood Orange’s “Freetown Sound” and “Negro Swan” albums in addition to production on Robyn’s latest album “Honey”.
Now based in London, the album was recorded in several locations, while Kindness was primarily based in New York during the writing and recording of the album.
The 2nd solo album from the former Oasis frontman, following 2017’s “As You Were”.
More details regarding “Why Me? Why Not” will be revealed imminently. “It’s a better record than “As You Were”,”
promises Liam. “Which is saying something, as that was epic, wasn’t it?”
Over 3 years since their debut “Light Upon The Lake”, Whitney return with their second album, much of it recorded in the same basement studio in Chicago as the debut.
According to the band, this album deals with “fear, confusion, and substance abuse”.
The debut album from Dublin rock band The Murder Capital, produced by legendary producer Flood and containing the preceding singles “Feeling Fades” and “Green & Blue”.
The 2nd album from Dublin’s Girl Band, following their 2015 debut album “Holding Hands With Jamie”.
Recorded in November 2018 at Ballintubbert House, Ireland, “a few pay grades above what we’re used to!”, the alien construction of Ballintubbert and its corridors help to navigate Girl Band’s cataclysmic sound within a world of its own.
“In many ways the idea behind the album was to make an audio representation of the house.“ And this enigmatic manor becomes Girl Band’s sonic playground: to place yourself within a space, and to work with that space harmoniously. Dan continues, “We recorded all the drums twice: once on the landing and once in the cellar” -The Well of Souls- “and during production we could actually cut in between both these sounds”. The Talkies vacillates between being big, ambient, and atmospheric to suddenly terribly intimate and up close.
“The Fall” was first released on 25 December 2010 to stream for free on the Gorillaz website, only available as a download for paying members of the band’s Sub-Division club, a premium access campaign the band ran throughout 2010. The album features fewer guest artists than previous Gorillaz albums; collaborators include Mick Jones and Paul Simonon of The Clash and Bobby Womack.
A vinyl version was released on Record Store Day in 2011 and quickly sold out and now reaches large sums, so here is finally a full release.
The third album from Temples sees them returning more to the rock sound of their 2014 debut “Sun Structures” after 2017’s electronically-orchestrated “Volacano”.
“There’s something more primal about this record,” suggests bassist Tom Walmsley. “We didn’t want to complicate things. We wanted it to have a more robust feel to it and focus more on guitars. Having less on there, but making everything sound as big as possible. I’ve always wanted our records to sound quite grand and larger than life, but we achieved that with some more earthy sounds in this time.”
Dub version of the 2nd Khruangbin album “Con Todo El Mundo” with 2 bonus dubs from legendary Jamaican producer Scientist.
The band’s exotic, spacious, psychedelic funk aligns with the dub treatment particularly well. Indeed, keen fans won’t
find this a surprising release. Dubs of tracks from their first album ‘The Universe Smiles Upon You’ appeared on
limited vinyl releases of ‘People Everywhere’ for Record Store Day 2016 and ‘Zionsville’ on the BoogieFuturo remix
